Ma sbaglio o Rosetta è abbastanza tirchio di crediti? Se ho capito come funziona il sistema, i crediti effettivi che riceviamo sono i "claimed credits".
Confrontandocon due progetti ho:
  • Pogs: 202 crediti per 6878s CPU, cioè 0.02937 Cr/s
  • Rosetta: 60 crediti per 7270s CPU, cioè 0.00825 Cr/s

È Pogs il generoso o Rosetta la tirchia? (ho notato che anche ClimatePrediction ha un rapporto crediti/secondo molto simile a Rosetta, almeno per l'unica wu che ho portato a termine)
ASUS N56VM: Intel core i7 3610QM, 16GB RAM, NVIDIA GEFORCE GT630M 2GB

Ma sbaglio o Rosetta è abbastanza tirchio di crediti? Se ho capito come funziona il sistema, i crediti effettivi che riceviamo sono i "claimed credits".
Confrontandocon due progetti ho:

Pogs è particolarmente generoso. Con le moderne cpu 30-40 Cr/h dovrebbe essere, a mio parere, la norma. Progetti come LHC Sixtrack, Denis (prima dell'ottimizzazione), WCG con certe app, Rosetta, Atlas... danno tutte questo quantitativo di crediti orari.

ho scaricato qualche WU; a parte di 200 Mb di database che si porta dietro e i 72 Mb di eseguibile, nessun problema finora su debian.
Ho notato comunque che rispetto a versioni molto precedenti (avevo una 3.52 e una 3.54) il file non è più linkato staticamente ma dinamicamente e tra le librerie che richiede ci sono libglut e libGLU, che mi hanno dato qualche problema con la 3.65 su ralph perchè non le avevo installate. Immagino quindi che i problemi siano proprio di dipendenze da nuove librerie.

In termini di tempo sul mio campione (36 wu) ho riscontrato un tasso di errore pari al 7,5%.
42800 secondi di elaborazione buttati a fronte dei 567700 secondi donati.
La scelta di contribuire a questo progetto è personale, ma al challenge parteciperei se si facesse. Ai challenge chiudo sempre un occhio.

Salve a tutti,
fino a oggi avevo settato la durata delle WU ad un'ora pensando che fosse meglio per il fatto dei crediti e per evitare errori visto che mi capita di dover riavviare il pc a volte. Da stamattina ho voluto provare a settare le WU a 4 ore, guardando i risultati però ho notato che i crediti richiesti sono intorno a 110 ma mi va di lusso se ne prendo 80, ma è normale? Ho qualcosa di settato male nel pc?
Che ne pensate?

È normale, credo. Per quanto riguarda questo progetto ho notato che tale rapporto è 1:1 sul pc nuovo (dell'anno scorso) mentre su uno vecchiotto (2008) il rapporto 3:1. Il mio caso forse è anche peggio del tuo. :D

anche il mio è vecchiotto..... avrà 6 o 7 anni..... è I7 920. Ma si sà cosè che influisce nell'attribuzione dei punti? Es: quantità dui ram, velocita del BUS, tipo di hard disk... ecc ecc
