Yes, we had a database crash last week and part of the information was lost. All the accounts created in the last six months have been lost.

I'm working on recover the e-mail address of these accounts to contact with the volunteers that are in your situation and to explain them the problems.

Regardin the credit, yes, create again your account with the same e-mail address. We have an xml with all the credit stats. We are working on restore your values. Don't worry about that, you will have your credit. The credits are the small recognition that we can give you to your work. We are working to recognize all the work you have helped us to do.

Fra qualche giorno dovrebbero riprendere a distribuire le WU.

Quasi tutto il lavoro fatto negli ultimi mesi è stato salvato. Purtroppo, quasi sicuramente, verranno perse le ultimissime WU e tutte quelle non ancora inviate.

Per quanto riguarda i crediti e gli account fatti nel 2017, ci stanno ancora lavorando su.

Hello everyone,

This lack of information is caused by two events that have happen at the same time. The Database crash that has cause a lot of work to restore it and create new redundancy methods.

And also a reorganization in the project. Due to private problems I have had to leave the project ( I will be connected to it as much as I can but as external helper). This caused that Jesus will have to carry with the entire project meanwhile he is teaching at University which is his priority.

This is why now the news will be released slowly than before, but I've to assure you that the project is not stopped or paused.

The lack of information was caused also by my holidays. I tried to solve all the problems of recovery before they started but I did not have enough time.

Dear volunteers,
First of all, I want to apologize for the long time since the last update of information. As I explained in other thread, we had a database crash. This problem coincided in time with a change of work of Joel, so I was alone to manage the crisis.
Unfortunately, due to other research and teaching commitments, I cannot now devote enough time to the project to be ready and re-generate results. So I had decided to stop it temporarily. I hope to restart the project in January or February. I’ll let you know by using this forum and the other official channels of the project.
Finally I want to resume the status of the recovery and the project:
• All the volunteers, hosts and teams created before 2017 have recovered they credit.
• To those ones created after January 2017, if you have computed for the DENIS project in a computer with other BOINC projects, we will be able to recover the credit through the BOINC Cross project ID. You have to add the project to a computer with the other projects and your BOINC Cross project ID will be updated to the oldest one. I’m not sure but I think that the update will take place after computing for the project. Once the project updates your CPID, I will be able to identify you in the stat files to restore your credit. I will analyze it again the next month.
• If you are not in the previous situation, please, contact me if you want to recover your credit and we will try to find any other mechanisms to identify you in the stat files.
• After the recovery, the last version of the app that was compiled and uploaded by Joel is not working. I think that the problem is in the code and not in the DB crash, but I need time to analyze the app, and to learn how the system to compile the apps and to upload them works.

Actually, the major limitation to continue with the project is the time I have available for been developing it. This project is very important for me personally and more after seeing the great welcome you have given and the great support received. Thank you once again for your patience, your support and for been here. I hope I can live up to how much you have given.

I started to prepare the development enviroment to develop a new version of the program this tuesday. I'm a little more delayed than expected and that's why I had not said anything yet. I hope to move forward in the coming weeks and re-start launching tasks soon.

Thank you very much everyone for your patient wait. I’m writting to you to give you good news. We sent an small block of tasks to check if all is working well this Friday. Little by little, we will send more task. It seems that everything is working well but we want to go slowly to ensure each step. We have still some things to improve but now we can say that we are back!

Al momento ci sono circa 50.000 wu in attesa di essere spedite ed elaborate.

Concordo, ma si tratta di decidere chi aiutare ... e personalmente propendo più che altro per progetti medico-scientifici ... a volte l'aspetto "remunerativo" non é quello che sposta l'ago della bilancia.

Grazie KIDKIDKID3,ho visto nella pagina dei setting...sinceramente ho confrontato le impostazioni del setting di seti,che gira benissimo,con quelle di denis...sono identiche!!....quando vado su boinc e seleziono la scheda "progetti",seleziono denis clicco su "aggiorna" e mi dice "richiesta sullo schedule in attesa etc.etc." subito dopo dice "comunicazione rimandata" e non parte nulla....anche nella scheda "elaborazioni" denis come lavoro non è presente..... ....bho!!!

resetta il progetto, prima di mandare denis sulle ortiche..
