Sì, in effetti si vociferava circa due settimane fa date le continue lamentele. L'admin stava aspettando la fine del Pentathlon.

Al momento Eric ha settato 74cr per wu, ma potrebbe aumentarli.

L'amministratore del progetto ha aggiornato l'applicativo cpu (per ora solo la versione linux 64bit), ottenendo un guadagno tra il 30 e il 40%.
In questi giorni proverà ad aggiornare anche l'applicativo win 64bit per poi passare alle gpu

Post di inizio anno dell'amministratore del progetto con quello che è stato fatto nel 2020 e quello che ci aspetta nel 2021

1. The miscellaneous tables were completed. Except for the {2,5} case, this gives the fields for all
imprimitive decics ramified at {p}, {q}, or {p,q} for all primes p < q < 13.
2. Finished many of the lower tiers for the search over ℚ(√-10) (subfield 7).
3. Completed a few more batches for the search over ℚ(√2) (subfield 3), essentially leaving the final monster batch. At our current rate, this batch will take approximately the first half of 2021 to complete.
4. The CPU apps (for 64bit machines) were improved to give an average speed increase of about 35%. Improved GPU apps will be rolled out in the near term.

The crash was so bad that the database could not be repaired. The first non-corrupted backup was 2 days old. Restoring from there seems to have worked but there are probably issues since it will be out of sync from results that get returned.

I pushed the deadline back another 4 days for any outstanding WUs to give people time to return them, but anything issued 2 days prior to the crash will not be in the database so I am not sure how that will play out.

Ne hanno risentito tutti i siti di stats i quali attingono le risorse dal progetto

Confidiamo nell'intervemto del buon San Paolo (non lo stadio) per un recupero delle stats interne di BI (almeno quelle)

Non capirò mai la differenza, lo giuro.
Comunque, e questo dovrebbe essere corretto, NumberFields ha implementato il supporto per le gpu Intel

Hanno riportato un breve riassunto dell'anno 2023:

1. Competed 100% of subfield 3.
2. Got subfield 7 to the point where it is essentially complete.
3. Completed several rows of the subfield 6 table.
Going forward we will continue chipping away at subfield 6. Meanwhile, the last remnants of subfield 7 have been farmed out to Gerasim.

Questo, invece, il riassunto dell'anno 2025.

The main highlights this year were:
1. We spent the majority of the year on rows 15 and 16 for the subfield 6 searches. Row 15 is now in the "essentially complete" phase, with only 15x12 left. Row 16, which is the final row, has progressed up through 16x9 (technically speaking, we have 2 weeks left on it).
2. Subfield 7, which is almost complete, is being polished off be the folks at Gerasim. Unfortunately, Gerasim sufferred a crash back in August which put things on hold. Sergey and Demis over at Gerasim are getting close to having is working again. The windows app appears to be working from my perspective, and we just need to get the other apps configured properly, so hopefully only a couple more weeks. Before the crash, the search had progressed up to 11 of the 25 congruences.

Looking ahead in 2026, the main goal will be to complete as mush of row 16 as possible for subfield 6.
